My day began by meeting the rest of the Bookaspa Sales girls on a wintery Sunday morning to enjoy a relaxing spa day. We had the pleasure of experiencing the 5* Baglioni Hotel and Spa by SPC located by Hyde Park Gate in Central London.
We arrived at High Street Kensington tube station and had a short walk to the hotel. As we arrived at the entrance we were not disappointed. As you would expect from a 5* Venue the building was grand and the decor extravagant. More...

I went to the Sofitel St James spa as a very special treat for a lovely friend’s 40th birthday. And ohhh what a treat. It really was divine. Being 7 months pregnant I really wasn’t sure what I would make of it, but from the moment we walked into the chic spa and got ushered down to the changing rooms I knew it was going to be pretty gorgeous. The feel is modern with simple lines in marble and wood, and straight from the off you feel like you are about to be seriously More...

I somehow manage to choose the worst days to decide to visit a spa…..snowfall forecasted early evening in the Midlands/Birmingham area. I set off early to complete a couple of meetings before aiming to arrive at the Lea Marston Hotel to experience their hospitality. It all goes well until I take the wrong exit onto the M6 and end up going in the opposite direction I should…and rush hour is building. I joint the motorway queue, heading in the correct direction this time, More...

In October the BookaSpa girls were treated to a fam trip to Wales, whilst stopping by Bristol enroute. Hear what some of the girls had to say about it.
P.S. Keep your eyes peeled for some more blogs to follow about our experiences of The Vale and Celtic Manor!

I missed my best friend’s 30th birthday party. I am a bad friend. There’s nothing I could have done about it – I had a work trip actually. But I still felt horrible. So, what better way to get back into the good books than a surprise day out in London? 3 girls in the big smoke for a day of glamour, pampering and gossip. I couldn’t wait.
Our first stop was the ‘I don’t feel posh enough to go in here’ Gordon Ramsey restaurant at Claridges. The £30 three course lunch menu was amazing as you would expect – just beware of 3 things. One, you need to be able to work an iPad (if you want to order some wine anyway). Two, they will be extremely attentive and ask you how everything is exactly when your friend is disclosing some juicy bit of gossip. Three, they will welcome you back to the dining room when you return from the ladies. This third one was particularly disconcerting because I then started wondering if they were going to ask me how it went while I was there. More...

I remember 1986 when Fergie and Andrew got married (I was too young to remember Diana’s wedding) and we were sent home early from school to watch it. Like all little girls I wanted to be a princess too (along with being a ballerina, until I realised the pain involved!) and fell in love with the OTT dresses, tiaras and gold carriages. I wanted to marry a prince charming and live the life of luxury that princesses were supposed to live.
Of course all that turned out not to be true as I found out growing up. It’s a hard life being a princess and yes, you get to wear nice dresses and tiaras on occasion but you also have to do things you might not be in the mood for. Personally, I like the fact that I can do my own thing when I please – going to the shop in a tracksuit won’t be headline news – and I can get dressed up for special occasions, not just for everyday dinner with my Gran! Top 10 tips when visiting a spa! – Week two
Hi-di-hi Sparers! I hope this blog finds you as preened and serene as ever. After such a busy week here at BookaSpa.com I think I’m in serious need of a de-stressing treatment myself…perhaps a hot stone or Indian head massage? Either way, I shall be taking a leaf out of my own book and following this second installment of top 10 tips for visiting a spa… More...
