About PAYOT
Dr. Payot started PAYOT in the early 1920s. A truly remarkable woman, Dr Nadia Payot was the instigator of modern beauty treatments and prescriptive skincare. One of the first women doctors in France, she quickly discovered her calling in the beauty profession after seeing beauty parlours in New York and being inspired by Prima Ballerina Anna Pavlova – who when they met had the body of a 20 year old and the face that showed her true age – 48. Dr Payot realised that women needed a way to care for their skin and their body holistically, and wanted to use her competence as a Doctor to work for the beauty and well-being of women. She teamed up with leading herbalists of the day to create some wonderful beauty products and one of the World’s first Spas, offering then revolutionary treatments such as massages and body wraps. In her day, Dr Payot was celebrated, with some of the most beautiful women in the world (including Coco Channel) coming for treatments in her Paris Spa.

Today PAYOT stays true to its original aims, and the results are still as good as they were when Dr PAYOT first started. Do a quick search online and you will find glowing reviews, and yet it remains exclusive and relatively unknown except for with people who are in the ‘know’. The original Salon and beauty school still runs today in Paris, continually working towards the well-being and beauty of women with 80 years of heritage behind them.
