The Belfry exterior exterior

After a very long day visiting several venues across the UK, the girls and I were very excited to reach our final destination for the day... The Belfry in Warwickshire. I knew that The Belfry had undergone a staggering £26 million refurbishment, but I wasn’t prepared for just how breathtaking this venue had become. More...

New Park manor exterior

Nestled in the outstanding beauty of the New Forest National Park, New Park Manor is the perfect choice for a spa day or break, ideally located between Brockenhurst and Lyndhurst.

Five Lakes exterior and lake

With us all leading such busy lives it had taken me over 5 months to get a date together for when I and my 2 best friends could go on a spa day!  Juggling family commitments, school clubs and sports runs, holidays and other social outings it was never going to be easy.   The date was set, Sun 18th May, the spa was Crowne Plaza Resort Colchester – Five Lakes – a location that meant none of us had, in theory, more than an hour to travel to.  Even the best laid plans can go wrong. The epitome of indulgent opulence and an unintentional vegetarian haven

Rockliffe Hall Exterior

Set on the banks of the River Tees, Rockliffe Hall offers a five star luxury hotel, dining experiences and a spa and golf destination.

My partner and I visited Rockliffe Hall for a dinner, bed and breakfast stay with spa use over the Mother’s Day weekend. From the moment you enter the building you are greeted by a friendly member of staff to talk you through your stay, provide you with a copy of the dinner menu for that evening and show you to your room.  The excellent service does not end there, with every member of staff throughout the stay from the cleaners, spa staff, silver service waiters in The Orangery restaurant and bar staff in Rockliffe’s very own Cocktail Lounge going above and beyond to ensure you are enjoying your stay.
